After two months of hard work series 1 of the Foodpeople cards is now complete.
Thank you to everyone who purchased the artwork that made these cards possible.
If you would like to buy a pack of the cards, I'm selling them through my Etsy.com page.
Please take a peek by following this link if you like.

Thanks again.

I am happy to say that this evening around 10 p.m. foodperson painting number 25 was completed.
It felt very good to finish this. These paintings were a fair amount of work for me. I changed the way the banana
was going to be because I wanted something a little cheerier. It's a very blue piece and I think the finished product
turned out very well.

Now the only remaining thing left to do is to design the backs of the cards and then they are ready to be printed.
I have ideas already for 2 of them and tomorrow I'll try to get thinking about more.

So that's it! Thank you for reading and I hope you have a pleasant day.

The end is near. And to think the upcoming reality was only a dream a month ago.
I am very happy that things have come this far and this has been a very enjoyable project.
Here are some sketches of 6 of the last 7 foodpeople. There is one painting left.
If you would like it, please visit the "Sponsor a foodperson" link on the front page.

Greetings,
Tonight I made a decision and that decision was to make series 1 of the foodpeople cards
contain 25 cards instead of the 50 I planned. When I reach painting number 25 the "Sponsor a foodperson"
page will come down for a while when I put together the series 1 cards.

Above is foodperson number 14 and in the spirit of keeping some things a surprise I will be withholding the art
of the rest of the series so if you choose to pick up a pack of the cards yourself there will be some things
you haven't seen yet. I don't think it would be a ton of fun opening up a pack of cards that you already knew all
the contents, part of the fun is the surprise element (at least for me)

So there you have it. When I begin working on the backs of the cards I'm going to put that process up on this page.
I'm going to try to make the backs of the cards unique and fun with games and recipes and stuff. Good times. Fun.

So yeah, as of today there are 3 spots open for paintings for series 1 cards.

Have a nice day.

I've finished 2 more paintings

And here are some sketches of upcoming foodpeople.

Moving right along it would appear that foodperson #16 and #17 were sold today.
Tea and butter, tasty stuff. Last night I finished up number 8 who I've named "Phil Mays".
Naming these foodpeople is good fun and a real treat

Oh boy! Here's whats been goin' on.

Here is foodperson number 6. He's a chicken nugget, I haven't named him yet.

Here is foodperson number 7. She's a pear, I haven't named her yet either.

Here are a few sketches of upcoming foodpeople

A potato and nacho

And lastly a nice, kind and smiley watermelon.

Here was my initial sketch for Mr. Benny Curd

And here's how the final painting turned out. I'm happy with it.

I've changed the price of a foodperson painting to $10 tonight if you would like one.
thanks.

Jason if you're reading this I'm sorry if I just spoiled your surprise.

Above is the first foodperson, Mr. Gordon Darkroast.

OH BOY AM I TIRED!

I thought a commercial with an annoyingly catchy song may interest some people so I made one.
I had a friend help me out, that friend's name was "Captain Morgan".
I'm pleased with the way it turned out and I hope people enjoy looking at it.

I've got 3 orders so far, I thought I would post the first ten paintings on the site so people
could get into them but keep the rest secret for people who would like to be surprised when they open their cards.
Does surprise exist anymore? I think if the internet existed when the Garbage Pail Kids first came out
they would be online almost instantly after they went on sale. It's a real strange thought, actually having
to go somewhere and get something to see what it looked like. The internet sure changed how life works.

Hello,
I'm pretty sure the site went live early this morning...or late last evening. It's weird when
you sleep from noon to three, your days get all messed up. Anyways, today the foodpeople
site was christened and "milk" was sold. Good times, good times.

Last night I painted up Huburt Wiener as a "test" of sorts. This was the first foodperson I've
made keeping in mind margins and overlaying text. I'm mostly pleased with the way he
turned out.

Here is the beginning sketch and what the finished product would look like

Today is a wonderful day. I'm almost done putting together this site.
here is a picture of what the cards will look like (minus the artwork, the art is old)

Some cards will be landscape, some will be portrait. There will also be some kind
of fun stuff on the back in black and white. I was thinking doing a few different things like
recipes, bunk recipes that will only make a mess out of everything, the combined backs
of 12 cards will form a game board for a game you can play if you like. I would like to
make them fun. Fake advertisements perhaps. It's 8:51 a.m. right now and I haven't
slept yet. it's a good time.
